Safety is a must in all type of industries to prevent accidents, incidents and ill health there by reducing the cost associated with accidents and incidents such as property damage, manpower loss, time loss, insurance premiums, loss of reputation etc. This course is crucial to expose students in understanding the hazards, quantifying risk and recommend associated preventive measures including the use of personal protective equipment at workplace. Student will be able to outline the safety management principles applicable, such as safety training, safety policy, safety committees, safety inspection or safety audit. Student will be exposed to the legal obligations, and the need to act in accordance with the codes of safety practice.
