This course focuses on the theory and practice of diplomacy, covering the diplomatic system, the various modes of diplomatic interaction, including bilateral, regional and multilateral diplomacy, summit diplomacy, and public diplomacy and the art of negotiation.

 

At the end of this course, you should be able to:
  • describe the evolution and key concepts relating to the role and practice of diplomacy in international relation;
  • explain the structure and operation of the modern diplomatic system;
  • assess the impact of changes in the international order on the development of the art and practice of diplomacy.
